The latest rankings by Chambers & Partners Europe 2015 have been released and Sameta’s tax and dispute resolution practices have again placed in the fourth tier.

February 13. Sameta holds business meeting on the reinstatement of VAT on retrospective bonuses for retail chains. Sameta's leading experts on tax and competition issues held an informal discussion of contentious tax issues facing retailers in connection with granting bonuses and discounts, issuing gift certificates, and breaches of fair competition rules.
Sameta invites representatives of major retailers to a business meeting on reinstating VAT on retrospective bonuses for retail chains. The event will be held February 14, 2015 from 10.00 and 12.00.
January 30-31, 2015, Perm – Current Problems in Antimonopoly Legislation: Views from the Regulator, Courts, and Experts conference. Sameta's head of antimonopoly practice Sergei Zagraevsky will give a presentation on the justification of administrative penalties for concluding an anticompetitive agreement (collusion) in tenders.

A Russian Federation federal law has been adopted amending personal data regulations. The amendments affect the Federal Laws on Information, Information Technology and Information Security and on Personal Data, and come into force on 1 September 2016.
Amendments made by Federal Law of the Russian Federation No 106-FZ dated 05.05.2014 introduce a new procedure for accreditation of the representative offices and branches of foreign companies in the Russian Federation. The new procedure comes into force on 1 January 2015

On July 24th, 2012 Presidium of the RF Supreme Arbitration Court held a hearing of the tax dispute of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise FGUP “State Corporation of Organization of Air Transport in the RF” under the claim of the Russian Federal Tax Service Department for the city of Moscow (FTS).
The court defined what kind of documents the taxpayer shall confirm its respective losses that occurred during preceding fiscal periods and that are used for decrease of the tax base of the profit tax for the current fiscal period.
